EXAM PATTERN
NICL 2026 Exam Pattern
Questions asked in both the phases: Phase 1 and Phase 2 of NICL 2026 exam were Objective Multiple Choice Type. Questions asked were bilingual, i.e. set in both Hindi and English. NICL 2026 Exam will be conducted in three phase:
• Phase 1 will be conducted first followed by
• Phase 2 Exam
• Candidates qualifying in the Main Examination will be further shortlisted for Regional Language Test before the final selection.

Note: The biggest change in NICL Pre 2026 Test pattern is that this year, the sectional timing has been introduced at the Pre level which means candidates who used to navigate through different sections earlier, will not be able to do so now.
