SBI Probationary Officers Salary
As a Probationay officer at SBI , the initial basic pay is ₹48,480(including four advance increments) under the pay scale ₹48,480-2000/7-62,480-2340/2-67,160-2680/7-85,920 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I.
These include Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Medical Allowance, Leave Travel Allowance (LTA), C.C.A., and other allowances & perquisites as per SBI rules.
DA- a cost-of-living adjustment revised quarterly, HRA - based on the city of posting. The medical allowance covers medical expenses for the employee and their family, and LTA covers the expenses of travel during annual leave.

Final Selection

The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for preparing the final merit list for selection.

The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating (out of 100) converted marks of Phase II and Phase III. Selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.

The marks obtained by the candidates in Phase II (Main Examination both Objective & Descriptive Tests) and Phase III (Group Exercise & Interview) will be normalized to 100 marks as detailed below.

Number of Attempts
As per the official notification, there is a category-wise permissible number of attempts for the SBI PO exam. Therefore you need to keep these limitations in mind while preparing for the SBI PO examination as the candidates who have already appeared for the maximum number of permissible chances are not eligible to apply.

The number of chances will be counted from the examination held on 18.04.2010.
