OMC Eligibility Criteria – 2024:

The eligibility criteria for the OMC (Odisha Mining Corporation) exam is depend on which kind of group you are applying for. It is same like earlier if you are applying for Bank jobs you must have completed your graduation.

1	Jr. Executive Assistant	Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with Diploma in Computer Application/ PGDCA. There will be no requirement of DCA/ PGDCA certificate for candidates having MCA, BCA, B.Sc.(IT), B.Sc (CS), etc.	Not below 18 years and above 32 years. (Upper age limit in case of SC/ ST/ SEBC/ Women/PwD/ Sports Person/ EXServiceman shall be relaxed as per norms of Govt.) For candidates working in OMC: a) The Non-Executives recruited under OMC R&P Rules for Nonexecutives, 2012 and subsequently acquiring requisite qualification for any higher post of the same sub cadre may attend the direct recruitment process whenever recruitment for such higher post is undertaken. In such case, upper age limit may be relaxed up to 10 years. b) The Non-Executives recruited prior to implementation of OMC R&P Rules for Nonexecutives, 2012 and possessing qualification & experience for any post under these Rules, may also attend the direct recruitment process whenever recruitment to any post as per these Rules is undertaken. In such case, upper age limit may be relaxed up to 10 years and after appointment they will be governed under these Rules.
2	Jr. Engineer Mechanical	Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from an AICTE recognized institute.
3	Jr. Engineer Electrical	Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a AICTE recognized Institute
4	Jr. Nurse	+2 Science with Diploma in Nursing from an Institute Recognized by H&FW Department, Government of Odisha.& approved by Odisha Nursing Council/ Indian Nursing Council.
5	Jr. Pharmacist	+2 Science with Diploma In Pharmacy from recognized University / Institute & Approved by Indian Pharmacy Council.

Selection Procedure:

The Computer Based Test (CBT) for the post of Jr. Engineer (Mechanical), Jr. Engineer (Electrical), Jr. Nurse & Jr. Pharmacist will be of 2 (Two) hours duration. However, the Computer Based Test (CBT) for the post of Jr. Executive Assistant will be of 2 ½ (Two and half) hours duration.

The Syllabus for the posts of Jr. Executive Assistant, Jr. Engineer (Mechanical), Jr. Engineer (Electrical), Jr. Nurse & Jr. Pharmacist are detailed at Annexure-I, Annexure-II, AnnexureIII, Annexure-IV and Annexure-V respectively.

For every correct answer, one mark shall be awarded. For every wrong answer attempted by the candidates, negative marking of ¼ marks (i.e., 0.25 marks) will be deducted. No marks will be awarded/deducted for un-attempted questions.

OMC Application Fee:

Aspirants have to pay application fee online with the amount of 500 for each vacancy and No fee for SC/ST/PWD and Others department candidates. Fee/Intimation charges once paid will NOT be refunded on any account nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.

EXAM PATTERN

OMC Exam Pattern 2024:

OMC introduced separate sectional timing for each section in the preliminary exam. The OMC exam for hiring candidates will be based on an online written exam in two parts: Stage 1 or OMC Preliminary Exam and Stage 2 or OMC Mains Exam. This examination is followed by a face-to-face interview process.
