Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is soon going to announce the recruitment drive for Bank Clerks for the year 2019. The IBPS Clerk 2019 is scheduled to be conducted for recruitment of an undisclosed number of candidates. The exam of IBPS Clerk 2019 to be held in online mode two phases – Preliminary and Mains. The Preliminary exam of IBPS Clerk 2019 is scheduled to be held in multiple sessions on December 7, 8, 14 & 15.

Candidates who will qualify in IBPS Clerk 2019 preliminary exam will be shortlisted to appear for mains exam and candidates who will qualify the mains will be alotted a Bank as per their choice and marks obtainted.

Candidates who are Graduate in any stream and between 21 and 28 years of age as on October, 2019 are eligible to fill the application form of IBPS Clerk 2019.

IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2019

Candidates applying for IBPS Clerk 2019 exam should fulfill the necessary eligibility criteria as per Nationality, Age and Educational Qualification.

Nationality: Only Indian Citizens can only apply.

Age Limit: Candidates should not be below 21 years and not above 28 years as on September, 2019.

Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Those who are in the final year/semester of their graduation can also apply.

Emoluments and Salary Structure:

An IBPS Clerk's job profile is entitled to get some allowances in addition to basic salary or pay which is same in almost all the Public Sector Banks. The Basic salary of a job of Clerk is Rs 11,765 - Rs 42,020. In it Rs 11,765 is the Basic pay. The main allowances in the salary that an IBPS Clerk job profile gets are following:
 
Dearness Allowance:
In bank job, DA is revised quarterly and is based on CPI as declared by the banks i.e. DA can go up with higher CPI and vice versa.
 
House Rent Allowance:
This varies according to bank clerk’s place of job. And it can be 8.50%, 7.50% and 6.50% of the salary depending upon metros, big cities and other locations.
 
Medical Allowance:
This allowance is paid annually and for an IBPS clerk, it is fixed at Rs 2000. 
 
After the 10th Bipartite Wage Settlement of 2015, a bank clerk is entitled to get a salary of Rs 21,990 with in-hand salary of Rs 19,461.

IBPS Clerk 2019 Selection Procedure

IBPS Clerk selection procedure has 2 steps which is mention below:

Step 1: Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) (100 Marks)
Step 2: Main Examination (Objective Type – 200 Marks)
IBPS Clerk Preliminary Examination 2019

IBPS Clerk Preliminary examination is an objective type exam.

Total marks of the exam are 100.

Exam would be conducted online.

Duration of Exam would be 1 hour.

Prelims exam consist of 3 sections such as (1) English Language, (2) Quantitative Aptitude and (3) Reasoning Ability.

There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
