English Language (Letter Writing & Essay)
This is a part of the main examination and it is the easiest part of the LIC AAO exam. You are required to choose and write an Essay and a Letter out of the given topics. The total time allotted for the descriptive part is 30 minutes. Scoring well in this section can be a cakewalk for you if you are aware of the latest happenings in and around the world and have a good knowledge of the format for formal/informal letter writing.
Interview
An interview is the last stage of the LIC AAO examination. Candidates who clear the written examinations will be called for the interview round. This round is a very important part of the selection process.
In this round, the officials will try to check your knowledge, opinions, communication skills, and your fitness for the job. This is also the scoring part of the examination process and the marks obtained in this round are added to the final merit.
If you have successfully cleared the written exam and the document verification process, you will be appointed to the post of Assistant Administrative Officer (Generalist).
Qualifying Marks
As you all know the cut-off for LIC AAO 2024 prelims has already been decided. Unreserved category students have to score 18 in the Quantitative Aptitude & Reasoning Section and 10 marks in English. However, the English Language section of LIC AAO 2024 prelims will be of qualifying nature and the marks in the English Language will not be counted for ranking. So, here is a huge advantage for the candidates who are not very good at English. But, you will have to practice hard to score well in the Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability section to qualify for the mains.
So, the key to all of the preparation, though, is understanding how to approach this exam. Once you know that, the rest of it doesn’t seem nearly as terrifying. Smartkeeda always tries to provide our students with quality content at the least possible price so that the students do not take studying as a financial burden.
