Institute of Banking Personnel and Selection releases the IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria along with the official notification. The candidates need to cross-check the eligibility criteria before applying for the IBPS PO 2022. According to the notification, the minimum age limit for the candidates is 28 years. The upper age limit of the candidates who belong to the reserved category can be relaxed as per the rules applicable for the aforesaid category.

Nationality

 
The candidates who wish to apply for the IBPS PO exam need to qualify any of the following eligibility:
 
  • a Citizen of India or
  • a subject of Nepal or
  • a subject of Bhutan or
  • a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit

 
The minimum age limit for the candidates who belong to unreserved candidates is 21 years to 30 years. Along with this, candidates who belong to the reserved category will be eligible to get the age relaxation as mentioned in the table below:

Educational Qualification

 
The candidates willing to apply for IBPS PO should be graduates from a recognised University in any of the disciplines. There is no mention of minimum aggregate marks for candidates of any category.
 

Scribe Eligibility

 
The candidates who are Orthopaedically or visually impaired can avail the scribe facility while appearing for the IBPS PO exam. The candidates need to mention this clause while filling the application form and they have to bring their own scribe on the exam day. Along with this, the qualification of the scribe should be less than that of the candidate and must not be preparing for the IBPS PO exam.
