A total of 9394 candidates will be recruited for the post of Apprentice Development Officer. Role
The selected candidates are required to sponsor suitable persons to be appointed as Life Insurance Agents, train them properly, and help the recruited agents to sell life insurance to a maximum number of persons. The recruitment of Apprentice Development Officers is for Urban as well as Rural Areas and the selected candidates will have to work in these areas. Selection Procedure
Selection for the post of ADO is made on the basis of online tests (preliminary + mains) followed by an Interview of candidates who qualify in the online tests and subsequent pre-recruitment medical examination.Phase-I: Preliminary Examination Pattern
Preliminary Examination: Preliminary Examination consisting of an objective test will be conducted online. The test will have three sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:
- The Preliminary examination will be the first stage of the selection process and is qualifying in nature. It is conducted in Computer Based Test mode.
- Questions from three subjects, namely i.e., English language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative aptitude will be asked at this stage.
- All the subjects of the preliminary examination will account for 100 marks with sectional timing of 20 minutes for each subject.
- Number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the score.
- There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. However, candidates are advised not to mark answers through random guessing.
- English will be of qualifying in nature and its marks will not be considered for the final selection.
- Candidates equal to 20 times of number of vacancies in each category, subject to availability, will be shortlisted for Main examination.

Candidate MUST obtain minimum qualifying marks in each Section separately and should also obtain minimum marks in the aggregate to qualify for the examinations (Preliminary and Main) and in the interview. The minimum marks to be obtained in each paper and in the aggregate shall be decided by LIC of India. The scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using Equi percentile Equating Method.
Interview
Marks obtained in the Main Examination only will be considered for shortlisting for interview and marks obtained in Main Examination + marks obtained in the Interview will be considered for the final merit listing of candidates. Also, kindly note that there will be no contingency/waiting list for candidates not declared successful in the main list.The maximum marks for the interview are 40.

Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination
Selected candidate will be appointed as an Apprentice Development Officer subject to him/her being found medically fit by the Medical Examiner authorized by LIC of India for the purposeProbation:
An Apprentice Development Officer, who successfully completes the apprenticeship and, in the opinion of the Recruiting Authority may be appointed as a Development Officer and placed on probation. The period of probation shall be for one year which may be extended up to two years.Age Relaxation
The minimum age limit to apply for the post of LIC ADO 2023 is 21 and the maximum age is 30 years as specified by the LIC. But there is an age relaxation for the candidates belonging to a certain category. For the general category, candidates below 21 and above 30 years of age are not allowed.The age relaxation for the different categories is given below:
