- The examination will be conducted in the form of a computer-based test.
- There will be four sections in the examination, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, General Awareness and English Comprehension.
- Each section will have separate sectional timing and the candidates can appear for a section once the time limit of the previous section is exhausted.
- As per the marking scheme, for each correct answer, the candidates will get 1 mark. While there is a provision of negative marking of 0.25 marks for incorrect responses.

SBI Clerk Mains 10 days Preparation Strategy
Unlike other bank exams, the SBI Clerk Mains exam will be held in two sessions as an online exam where the subjects will be similar to the prelims exams i.e. Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude, English Language and General Awareness. Post this the candidates will be invited to the local language test where their reading, writing and speaking skills will be tested. Following this, the final step of the SBI Clerk Mains exam is the Medical test where the candidates must be tested physically fit.
Master Quantitative Aptitude section
For the quantitative aptitude section, the candidates must focus on clearing their basic concepts first and then practice the topics timely so as to master all the topics in it. Topics like simplification, approximation and number series need basic calculation so the candidates need to improve their calculation speed to solve maximum questions with accuracy in minimum time duration. However, being it a mains exam a lot of difficult DIs are asked. Hence, candidates must prepare for them as well.

Make a Daily Routine

Reasoning Ability Section
Reasoning sections require the continuous practice of syllogism, inequality, blood relation and direction sense. As the questions are truly based on analytical skills the candidates must take the sectional test so as to be aware of the latest pattern and solve a variety of questions. The more they practice for this section the more they get habitual of the correct approach towards the questions. The Reasoning Ability section is a time consuming and lengthy topic so the candidates must be practising regularly so as to overcome this section.
General Awareness
For the SBI Clerk mains general awareness section, the candidates must cover 4-5 months of current affairs before the examination. Topics related to Finance, RBI monetary policy, appointments, capital and currency etc must be learnt on a daily basis so that they do not mix up everything on the closing days of the exam. The general awareness section must be revised timely and with sectional tests, they may analyse their performance too.
Keep Calm during Exam
The candidates must maintain their composure even in the pressurized situation as panicking may lead them to tick the incorrect options knowingly. The candidates must be choosy in terms of selecting the questions. Questions that can be solved in a minimum time duration must be solved in the beginning and the tricky questions must be left for the later part. Always read the questions first and then attempt it, this way they can maintain their accuracy.
