Nationality
The candidates who wish to apply for the SBI PO exam need to qualify for any of the following eligibility:
- a Citizen of India or
- a subject of Nepal or
- a subject of Bhutan or
- a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit
The minimum age limit for the candidates applying for the SBI PO 2022 examination is 21 years to 30 years. Candidates belonging to the reserved category are applicable to get the age relaxation as mentioned in the table below:

Educational Qualification
The candidates willing to apply for the SBI PO examination 2022 must possess a graduation degree in any stream from a recognised University. As per the official notification, minimum aggregate marks for candidates of any category is not mentioned i.e. even the candidates obtaining pass marks in the graduation exam can apply for the SBI PO 2022.

Scribe Eligibility
As per the official notification of SBI PO, candidates who are Orthopaedically or visually impaired are allowed to avail of the scribe facility while appearing for the PO exam. The qualification of the scribe should be less than that of the candidate and must not be preparing for the SBI PO exam.
Maximum Number of Attempts
The minimum age limit for the candidates applying for the SBI PO 2022 examination is 21 years to 30 years along with the age relaxation applicable for all the categories. But the candidates belonging to the General category who have the permission to appear for the SBI PO examination have only 4 chances. Candidates belonging to the General PWD, OBC and OBC PWD can appear for the SBI PO examination 7 times. There are no restrictions on the number of attempts by the candidates belonging to the ST/SC categories.
Work Experience
No work experience is required to apply for the SBI PO examination, the candidates having the minimum qualification degree can apply for it.
