The Institute of Banking Personnel and Selection has released the IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern and Syllabus on the official notification. The candidates can find the detailed exam pattern of the IBPS Clerk on this page and prepare accordingly. As per the official notification, the IBPS Clerk 2022 will have multiple stages i.e. Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam and Document Verification round.

IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern
The IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern has three stages i.e. Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam and a Document Verification round. The candidates have to fulfill each level of the examination as per the previous records.
Preliminary Exam
• The Preliminary examination is the first stage of the selection process and is qualifying in nature. It is conducted in Computer Based Test mode.
• As per the official notification, the preliminary exam of the IBPS Clerk, there will be three subjects in the examination namely i.e. English language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative aptitude
• All the subjects of the preliminary examination will account for 100 marks with sectional timing of 20 minutes for each subject.
• As per the marking scheme, 1 mark will be provided to every correct answer while there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer marked by the candidate.

Mains Exam
The Mains exam is the second phase of the selection process of the IBPS Clerk examination. The candidates who successfully cross the cut off marks as decided will get the opportunity of appearing in the Mains examination. The marks scored by the candidates in the IBPS Clerk Mains exam are considered for final selection in the examination.
• The objective examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test mode. It will be qualifying in nature and the marks scored in this test will be considered for final selection.
• The questions in the online exam will be based on mainly four subjects i.e. English language, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, General Awareness and Quantitative aptitude.
• Each section will have separate sectional timing and there will be a total of 190 questions for each subject.
• As per the marking scheme, 1 mark will be provided to every correct answer while there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer marked by the candidate.
• The objective examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test mode. It will be qualifying in nature and the marks scored in this test will be considered for final selection.
• The questions in the online exam will be based on mainly four subjects i.e. English language, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, General Awareness and Quantitative aptitude.

Document Verification
The last stage of the selection process is the document verification round wherein the board checks the documents of the candidates which signifies the eligibility criteria of the candidates. The candidates who fail in this round are been disqualified from the selection process. This round is qualifying in nature and no marks is allotted to this round.
