RBI Preliminary Exam Pattern
The RBI Preliminary Exam is the first stage of the selection process and is held in the computer-based mode. As per the previous year notification, the exam has three subjects and the exam level is similar to any other government bank exam:
• The Preliminary examination is the first stage of the selection process and is qualifying in nature. It is conducted in Computer Based Test mode.
• As per the official notification, the preliminary exam of the RBI Clerk, there will be three subjects in the examination namely i.e. English language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative aptitude
• There will be a total of 100 questions accounting for 100 marks and the number of questions will be different for each subject.
• As per the marking scheme, 1 mark will be provided to every correct answer while there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer marked by the candidate.

Like with any other bank exam, the RBI Assistant exam also has a second stage i.e. Mains exam which is also held in the computer-based format. The questions asked in the mains exam have a high difficulty level as compared to the preliminary exam. Know the highlights of the RBI Mains exam pattern below:
• The exam has five subjects i.e. Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, General Awareness, English/Hindi and Computer Knowledge etc.
• Each subject will have 40 questions accounting for 40 marks and separate sectional timing.
• There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks in the examination for all wrong answers.
