SSC CHSL 2018 Final Result and Cut Off Marks Declared

The Staff Selection Commission has finally released the SSC CHSL Cut Off Marks 2018 for the candidates who have participated in the same. The commission has released the official notification for the CHSL 2018 of SSC in 2019 itself. The preliminary examination was conducted in July 2019 while the descriptive paper was held in November 2019. The final result of the same has been announced now by the commission and the candidates can check the same to know if they have qualified the same or not. The candidates who are finally selected in any of the posts will be required to appear for the Document Verification round that will be conducted in July 2021.

The candidates are advised to keep a tab on the official website of SSC of their regions for the latest updates regarding the document verification dates. The SSC is the most competitive exam and the candidates should always follow the SSC CHSL Mock Tests to ace the exam. The candidates who have qualified for the aforesaid examination will be placed out of the three posts available i.e. Data Entry Operator / Postal Assistant / Lower Division Clerk in any of the Indian Ministries.

• Visit the official website of SSC(Staff Selection Commission)

• On reaching the homepage visit the Latest News section and find the link of SSC CHSL 2018 Final Cut Off Marks list.

• Then, right-click and open the cut off marks PDF to know the cut off marks for a particular post and category.

• Finally, save the cut off marks PDF of SSC CHSL on the computer or smartphone.

Once the result of SSC CHSL 2018 Result is declared the candidates will be required to appear for the document verification round. In this round, a panel appointed by the commission will cross verify the documents of the candidates and check if they are eligible for the aforesaid post. The list of the documents that a candidate is required to carry with him can be checked in the space below:

• Candidate’s valid Voter ID card / Aadhar card / Passport / PAN card

• Employer Id if the candidate is working with any public or private organization

• Candidate’s Class Xth Passing Certificate

• Candidate’s Class XIIth Passing Certificate

• Valid Certificate produced by the candidates proving his category or caste.

• Valid Certificate produced by the candidates proving his physical disability.
 

The candidates who wish to work as DEO / PA / SA under any of the Central Ministries will be required to qualify the different stages of the exam pattern of the SSC CHSL as mentioned in the space below:
 

As per the official notification, the first phase of the selection process is Tier 1 and is an online written test exam, it has to be qualified by the candidates to reach the next level of the recruitment process:

• The Tier 1 written exam will be conducted computer-based and the questions in the same will be MCQ based.

• The written test will have four sections i.e. Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, General English, and General Awareness.

• As per the marking scheme, the candidates will get 1 mark for each correct answer marked while there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer marked by the candidate.

• The total duration of the Tier 1 exam will be 60 minutes for the candidates. However, the candidates who are physically disabled will be getting 20 minutes extra to complete the test.
 

 

The SSC CHSL Tier 2 will be a descriptive paper and the candidates will be required to appear for the same in the pen and paper mode. In this exam, the candidates will get questions based on two topics i.e. One Essay and One Letter, and the candidates will be required to write the answers on the sheet provided by the commission. The candidates will get 30 minutes to complete the test. The minimum qualifying marks for the Descriptive Paper will be 33% marks for all the candidates.
 

The last stage of the selection process will be the Skill Test and it is the final round of the selection process. Through this stage, the commission checks if the candidate is equipped with the basic skills to work as per the criteria mentioned for the skill test of a particular category. The total duration to complete the SSC CHSL Skill test is 15 minutes and it is only qualifying in nature.
