Eligibility Criteria for Bank Exams

The basic eligibility criteria for applying for the Upcoming Bank exams are mentioned in the space below:

Nationality

The candidate should be a citizen of India and should be having valid id proof i.e. Pan Card/Adhaar Card/Voter Card to prove the same.

Age Limit

The basic age limit to qualify for the Updates Bank Exams is 21 years to 30 years for the candidates who belong to the unreserved candidates. However, the candidates who are from the reserved category i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PWD will be eligible to apply for age relaxations.

Educational Qualification

The candidates are required to possess a degree in Graduation in any stream from a recognized University.

Banking Exam Pattern

The banks generate employment for three profiles i.e. PO(Probationary Officer), Clerk(Single Window Operator), SO(Specialist Officer). The candidates can check the exam pattern for all the three profiles mentioned in the space below:

Bank Clerk Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of the Clerk staff will be held in three phases i.e. Preliminary exam, Mains Exam, and Document Verification. The candidates can check out the details of the exam pattern in the space below:

Phase 1: Preliminary Exam 

The first phase of the Bank Clerk Selection Process is the Preliminary examination. This is a computer-based test and the major highlights of the examination can be checked in the space below:

Phase 2: Mains Exam

The candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination will be called to appear for the Mains examination. 

Phase 3: Document Verification

Document Verification is the last stage of the Bank Clerk examination and in this stage, the panel appointed by the bank cross verifies the documents submitted by the candidate. This phase is also qualifying in nature and the candidates are only checked if their documents are original and authentic.

Bank PO Exam Pattern 

Bank PO or Probationary Officer is another post that is hired by the banks. The selection process of this exam also comprises of three stages i.e. Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam, and Interview round. The candidates have to qualify each round and then they will get selected as a PO in a PSB. The preliminary exam is qualifying in nature while the final merit list is drawn on the combined marks of the Mains exam and Interview in the 80:20 ratio respectively.

Phase 1: Preliminary Exam 

Similar to the clerk exam, the first phase of the PO is also a preliminary test that is qualifying in nature.

Phase 2: Mains Exam

Objective Paper

Descriptive Paper

The candidates will be required to appear for the descriptive test immediately after the objective test is over. In this round, the candidates will be required to type the answers on a keyboard. There will be two questions based on Essays and Letter writing one from each. The candidates will be required to complete a descriptive paper in 30 minutes for 25 marks.

Phase 3: Interview

The Interview is the last phase of the selection process of a PO and it is conducted for 100 marks. The candidates will be required to complete the same with qualifying marks i.e. 40% for the General candidates while it is 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates. The final merit list will be drawn by combining the marks of Mains and Interview round in the ratio of 80:20 respectively.
