The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released a short notification for the post of Grade B officers on 21st March. The detailed notification for the same will be released on March 21 on the RBI's Official website. The RBI every year conducts RBI Grade B Examination in three phases i.e.

iii. Interview

Eligibility Criteria for RBI Grade B 2022

I. Nationality: A candidate must be either –

(i) A Citizen of India or

(ii) A subject of Nepal or

(iii) A subject of Bhutan or

(iv) A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

(v) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with intention of permanently settling in India provided that a candidate belong to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

II. Age (as on 01/01/2022)

Minimum: 21 years, Maximum – 30 years i.e., A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1991 and not later than 01.01.2000 (both the dates inclusive)

III. Minimum Educational Qualification (as on 31.01.2022):

1. Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - (General) • The candidate must have a bachelors degree with minimum 60% Marks or equivalent (50% marks in case of SC/ST/PWD).
• Candidates must have also secured 60% Marks in 10th and 12th exams.
2. Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - DEPR • Candidate must hold a Master's Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course/ Finance, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute OR
• PGDM/ MBA Finance with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute; OR
• Master’s Degree in Economics in any of the sub-categories of economics i.e. agricultural/ business/ developmental/ applied, etc., with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute.
3. Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - DSIM • Candidate must be having a Master's Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters / years OR
• Master's Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters / years and one year post graduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from an Institute of repute; OR
• M. Stat. Degree of Indian Statistical Institute with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate of all semesters / years OR
• Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years.

RBI Grade B Exam Pattern 2022

The online test of RBI Grade B 2022 will consists of two stages i.e. phase 1 and phase 2. The phase 2 exam will be followed by an Interview. The RBI Grade B 2022 Phase 1 will be of 200 Marks for 200 questions. The exam will have MCQs from General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. Description Paper Exam Pattern:

 
The RBI Grade B 2022 Phase 2 consists of 300 Marks. The questions in the exam will be from Economics and Social Issues, English Writing Skills and Finance & Management. Qualified candidates in the RBI Grade B 2022 Phase 2 will be shortlisted for Interview Round.

Interview

 
Candidates who have been shortlisted in the Phase II Examination will subsequently be called for an interview to be conducted by the RBI. The total marks allotted for interview are 50.

Total Salary Per Annum  The candidates are entitled to the salary of 12-14 Lacs annually.
 
 
Apart from the Basic Pay, multiple allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family Allowance, Telephone Allowance, Conveyance Allowance, etc. are also provided to candidates post their joining to the post of Officer in RBI.
