LIC AAO Exam Pattern

 
The LIC AAO Exam Pattern comprise a preliminary exam, Mains exam and an Interview round. The candidates who are successful in qualifying for all the stages will be appointed as LIC AAO.

LIC AAO Preliminary Exam Pattern

 
The candidates can check out the highlight of the preliminary examination of the AAO in LIC in the space below:
 
  • The Preliminary examination is the first stage of the selection process and is qualifying in nature. It is conducted in Computer Based Test mode.
  • As per the official notification, the preliminary exam of the LIC AAO, there will be three subjects in the examination namely i.e. English language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative aptitude
  • All the subjects of the preliminary examination will account for 100 marks with sectional timing of 20 minutes for each subject.
  • As per the marking scheme, 1 mark will be provided to every correct answer while there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer marked by the candidate.
  • English will be of qualifying in nature and its marks will not be considered for the final selection.

LIC AAO Mains Exam Pattern

 
The Mains exam is the second phase of the LIC AAO exam pattern and will have two sections i.e. Objective and Descriptive. The candidates can check out the details of both the stages in the space below:
 

Objective Paper

 
  • The LIC AAO Mains examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test mode. It will be qualifying in nature and the marks scored in this test will be considered for final selection.
  • The questions in the online exam will be based on mainly four subjects i.e. Insurance and Financial Market Knowledge, Reasoning Ability, General Awareness and Data Analysis and Interpretation.
  • Each section will have separate sectional timing and there will be a total of 120 questions for each subject. 
  • As per the marking scheme, 1 mark will be provided to every correct answer while there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer marked by the candidate.
  • The candidates are also required to qualify for the minimum qualifying marks of the English descriptive paper and its marks will not be considered for the final merit list.

LIC AAO Interview

 
The Interview is the last stage of the LIC AAO Exam Pattern and it is held for a total of 60 marks. The final merit list for all the candidates who are successful in the exam is prepared on the basis of the marks scored in the Mains exam and Interview round. The minimum qualifying marks for the Unreserved, OBC and EWS candidate is 30 marks. While for the same for the SC/ST category candidate is 25 marks.
